Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is a jewel of Tanzania’s northern circuit, distinguished by its ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River that winds through the landscape. During the dry season, the river becomes a magnet for wildlife, drawing large herds of elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and antelope from surrounding areas. The park is also home to lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as rare species such as fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk. Birdlife is prolific, with over 500 recorded species, making Tarangire a top destination for bird enthusiasts. Its golden savannahs and dramatic silhouettes create a classic safari atmosphere.
